When you try to obtain the moisture value of a powder by measuring the capacitance of the powder, the density of the powder is an obstacle.
You don't know whether the change in capacitance is due to a change in water or density.
If you can keep the density constant, you can measure the change in the moisture content of the powder as a capacitance value.
This is the method we developed to control the density of powder.
You insert the plate with holes through the slit at under the the sensor.Powder fills the sensor, and the powder flow does not stagnate because there is a bypass.
The bypass reduces the pressure from above, and the powder is gradually discharged from the hole in the plate, so the density of the powder inside the sensor approaches a constant level.
In Europe, it seems common to detect the moisture in powder by measuring capacitance.
We sold sensors and transducers to this factory. The factory engineer performed the moisture value conversion process.
