  Purpose

Measures the water content in oils such as heavy oil and lubricating oil. It can be used for monitoring and controlling the moisture level.

  • The permittivity of oil is measured and the water content is continuously calculated based on the change because the permittivity of oil and water is significantly different (2 to 3 for oil / 80 for water).
  • You pass oil through the electrodes of the coaxial cylindrical structure. Since one calibration is performed for each oil type, stable moisture measurement with high accuracy is possible.
  • It has function that can handle several types of oil, and temperature compensation.

Operating principle

●The transducer shows a "2" when the electrodes are filled with oil only and when only water is filled it shows "80".
※It captures the difference in permittivity. 80 is the permittivity of water and 2 is the permittivity of oil.
●If even one drop of water enters this state, the value indicated by the converter will change significantly to the positive side.
●If you adjust to let the converter display "0V" with nothing but oil and "1V" with 1% water, it will show "2V" with 2% water.
●Capacitance changes linearly with respect to moisture.
