  Application

GM115-Application

Regarding the installation of the sensor

  • You must keep the sensor immersed in the cleaning agent at all times.
  • You must keep the state there is no air bubbles around the sensor because it affects the measurement accuracy.
  • Install in a place where there is not much cleaning dirt.We recommend installing after the cleaning-dirt removal device.
  • You must keep the sludge from sticking inside the electrodes.
  • If the temperature of the cleaning agent changes significantly during measurement, it is recommended to measure with a product that has a temperature compensation function.
  • We recommend that you install the sensor vertically on a sub-tank because it is easier to calibrate and maintenance can be performed even during operation.

Regarding the moisture adjustment

  • Moisture adjustment should be done in the sub tank for optimum mixing with the cleaning agent.
  • If the difference in specific gravity between the cleaning agent and water is large, or if the amount of circulation by the pump is small, excessive water supply may occur.It is recommended to adjust the water content gradually by reducing the flow rate.

  Performance

Actual correction calculation in moisture measurement

The measured value changes depending on the conductivity of the object to be measured. If only the measured value is calculated and presented as the water content, a large error will occur between the presented value and the actual water content.
This product reduces the error by measuring the capacitance and conductivity at the same time and correcting the conductivity.
And since the permittivity depends on the temperature of the object to be measured, the capacitance and temperature are measured by temperature transducer at the same time to correct the temperature too.GM-115 provides the most effective moisture measurement.


●Temperature converter

To correct the temperature, it is necessary to add a temperature converter and a temperature sensor.
Install the temperature sensor near the measurement electrode.


●Calculation display part(Control part)

The moisture value is the calculated value of capacitance, conductivity, and temperature.
You can start using it immediately by just one-point calibration in the field because the reference moisture value is pre-written in the ROM.


●Measurement electrode(Sensor)

The measuring electrode has a simple structure with no mechanical moving parts.
So it is easy to install and has excellent durability.
Since it has a simple structure, it can be manufactured in various shapes.

※2 In order to make stable measurements with high accuracy, you have to pay attention to the following 7points.

  1. You must set the ambient temperature, degree of dirt, and liquid temperature described in the specifications.
  2. You must not allow air bubbles to enter the cleaning agent inside the sensor.
  3. You must not allow sludge or the like to adhere to the inside of the electrodes.
  4. You must keep the cleaning agent in a uniform emulsified or dissolved state.
  5. You must prevent changes in the components of the cleaning agent due to impurities.
  6. You must not mix conductive substances.
  7. When using multiple units, you must unify the serial numbers.
